Real is one of the fastest-growing brokerages in the country — 35,000+ agents, publicly traded, real momentum. If you're comparing it with AtllasRE, the differences come down to three numbers: the cap, the fees, and the rev-share percentage.
| AtllasRE | Real | |
|---|---|---|
| Split until cap | 90/10 | 85/15 |
| Yearly cap | $9,995 | $12,000 |
| Fees | $99/mo — nothing else | $750/yr (rising to $900 on Sept 1, 2026) + transaction fees |
| A $150K-GCI agent pays, per year | $11,183 — worst case | ~$13,500–14,000 ($12,000 cap + $750 fee + typical transaction fees) |
| Rev share, level 1 | Up to $5,000 (50% of company dollar) | ~$4,000 max (~33%) |
| Rev-share levels / gates | 5 levels — none gated, live day one | 5 levels — levels 2–5 gated |

Per Real's published updates: the annual brokerage fee rises from $750 to $900, the CBR transaction fee goes from $40 to $50, and the Elite Agent stock award is reduced from $16,000 to $12,000. None of that makes Real a bad brokerage — but if you're doing the math this year, do it on the new numbers, not the old ones.
Real runs 85/15 to a $12,000 cap. AtllasRE runs 90/10 to a $9,995 cap — you keep more of every deal on the way up, and the cap is about $2,000 lower. After either cap you keep 100%. At $150K GCI, a Real agent pays roughly $13,500–$14,000 for the year (cap + annual fee + typical transaction fees); at AtllasRE the worst case is $11,183 in any membership year.
Real pays about 33% of company dollar at level one (up to ~$4,000 per agent), with deeper levels gated. AtllasRE pays 50% at level one — up to $5,000 per agent per year — and all five levels are live from day one with no unlock requirements. Real's rev share paid out $60.5M last year, which is real money — it's also 37% of their gross profit at roughly 8% margins. We can pay more per collected dollar because we're a fee business, not a split-resale business. How our five levels work →
Honesty cuts both ways: Real gives agents publicly traded stock incentives, a large national community, and brand recognition that a young brokerage can't match yet. If equity in a public company is a core part of your wealth plan, Real has something we don't. If keeping more of your commission this year matters more, run both numbers above.
The DRE license transfer happens online and we certify same-day. Most brokers release your listings when you leave — we help you request the transfer — and deals already in escrow close under your current brokerage per your existing agreement. The join flow itself (checkout, license verification, signing) takes about ten minutes at atllasre.com/join.
No. $99/month is the only fee — no transaction fees, no sign-up fee, no desk fees. On closings we keep 10% until your splits total $9,995 in a membership year; after that you keep 100%.
$99 a month, everything included — E&O, an AI that calls your leads, comps, deal support, and a managing broker who answers. On closings: 90/10 until $9,995 in a membership year, then 100%.
